Sending a document as five separate photos is messy. The person on the other side has to open each one, guess the order and sometimes ask you to send again. A single PDF solves all of that. Here is how to make one in a few minutes, on a phone or a computer, without installing anything.
Step 1: Take good photos
The quality of the PDF depends on the quality of the photos. Place the paper on a flat, plain surface in good light. Avoid shadows from your hand or phone, and hold the camera directly above the page so the edges are straight. Make sure all four corners are inside the frame and the text is sharp. If you are photographing an ID card, take the front and the back as two separate pictures.
Step 2: Add the images in order
Open the JPG to PDF tool and choose your pictures. You can select several at once and mix JPG, PNG and WebP files. The pages appear in the order you added them, and you can move any page up or down or remove one you do not need. Check the order carefully now, because it is the order of the final document.
Step 3: Choose the page size
- A4 is the right choice for almost every official document outside the United States.
- US Letter is better if the paper will be printed in the United States or Canada.
- Same as image keeps each photo at its own size, good for screenshots and posters.
Step 4: Pick quality and convert
Medium quality gives a small file that is easy to email or send on WhatsApp and still looks clear on screen. Choose High if the pages will be printed. Choose Low only if a website limits the upload size very strictly. Press Convert to PDF and save the file.
What to do if the PDF is too big
Many forms limit uploads to a few megabytes. If your PDF is larger, make the photos smaller before converting them, or choose a lower quality. Phone cameras take pictures with thousands of pixels, far more than a document needs. Reducing each photo to about 1600 pixels wide usually keeps the text easy to read and cuts the file size a lot.
Is it safe?
With UmarFilekit the conversion happens inside your own browser. Your photos are not uploaded to a server, so private papers such as ID copies and bills stay on your device. This is one of the main reasons to prefer a browser-based tool for sensitive documents.
Free, no signup, and your files never leave your device.
